# FateChart

> FateChart (fatechart.me) is a free, multilingual destiny & astrology engine. It instantly calculates Chinese and Western charts from a birth date, time and place — BaZi (Four Pillars), Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), Western natal charts, relationship compatibility, numerology, Tarot and Five Elements balance. All raw chart DATA is free with no sign-up; an optional AI master gives deep, personalized interpretation.

## What is free vs paid

- **Free, no account:** every chart calculation and its raw data — pillars, palaces, planets, signs, houses, stars, element balances, numerology numbers, Tarot spreads. This is the open, indexable layer.
- **Paid (login + credits):** the in-depth AI interpretation, the visible derivation/reasoning timeline, the year-ahead reading, and the conversational AI master. New accounts receive starter credits.

## Key facts

- BaZi (八字 / Four Pillars of Destiny): maps the heavenly stem & earthly branch of birth year, month, day and hour into four pillars. The Day Master (day stem) represents the self.
- Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗数 / Purple Star Astrology): arranges 100+ stars across 12 palaces (Life, Wealth, Career, Marriage, Travel, etc.). Birth hour is required for accurate palace placement.
- Western natal chart: a snapshot of the sky at birth; the "big three" are Sun (core self), Moon (emotions) and Rising/Ascendant (outward style). Rising and house placements need birth time + place.
- Compatibility (合盘): compares two people's charts for relationship dynamics.
- Numerology, Tarot and Five Elements (五行) balance are also supported.
- Birth time improves accuracy (it sets the Hour Pillar / Ascendant / palaces) but a chart can still be computed without it.

- FateChart computes charts deterministically from an astronomy/calendar engine; the AI layer only interprets the computed chart, it does not invent the chart data.
- Readings are for guidance and entertainment; they are not medical, legal or financial advice.
- Celebrity charts use only publicly known birth dates and places. When a birth time is not publicly confirmed, the chart is explicitly cast for 12:00 noon and the page discloses that the Moon sign, Ascendant, hour pillar and Ziwei palaces are approximate; the Sun sign and the year/month/day pillars remain reliable.
