The market for Chinese astrology apps splits along language lines more than feature lines. In mainland China the community app 测测 (Cece) dominates the App Store charts. In Taiwan 科技紫微網 (Click108) has two decades of Zi Wei Dou Shu content and a patented chart-correction method. For overseas Chinese and English readers, FateTell sells a long-form BaZi report. Each is a serious product, and each is locked to one audience in a way that is easy to miss until you install it.
This guide compares the three against each other and against FateChart, a free web app that calculates BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu and Western charts from the same birth data in eight languages. Facts were checked on the companies’ public websites and App Store listings on 2026-09-11; FateChart is not affiliated with any of them, and the brand names belong to their owners.

测测 Cece: the mainland community app
Cece is as much a social network as a chart tool. It shows BaZi, Zi Wei and Western charts, lets you compare charts with WeChat contacts, hosts discussion boards, runs more than 50 psychological tests, and offers chat-style AI answers alongside paid human astrologers. VIP is cheap at ¥9.9 for the first month, then ¥25 a month or ¥178 a year. The catch for anyone outside the mainland: it is Simplified Chinese only, the calculation method is not published, saving and community features need an account, and consultations are priced in an in-app currency.
科技紫微網 Click108: Taiwan’s Zi Wei specialist
Click108 has been publishing Zi Wei Dou Shu content since the early 2000s. Its founder applied for a patent on a chart-correction (定盤) method in 2005 and the site has run a certification programme for readers since 2009, so if you want a human master with a documented lineage this is the place. BaZi, luck pillars, tarot and compatibility are all there. The trade-offs: Traditional Chinese only, the free chart carries ads, the method is proprietary and not published, and a detailed report costs about NT$800 while Platinum membership is about NT$3,600 a year.
FateTell: one long BaZi book, in English
FateTell, founded in 2023, takes the opposite approach to the community apps. Its product is the FateBook, a long BaZi document described as 10 cards and more than 10,000 words, plus a “Grand Master” chat persona and an I Ching module. It is available in six languages and has an iOS app with a daily check-in. It costs US$39.99 for the book or US$59.99 a year, requires an account, offers no Western or Zi Wei chart, does not publish a methodology page, and according to its privacy policy stores birth data in Hong Kong and shares it with language-model providers. For a detailed look, see FateChart vs FateTell.

- FateTell if you want a single long English BaZi report and are happy to pay US$39.99 for it.
- FateChart if you want the full BaZi, Zi Wei and Western charts free without an account, in Simplified or Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai or Indonesian, with a published method and a pay-as-you-go reading at US$3.99.
Where FateChart fits
FateChart is the only one of the four that shows all three systems from one birth entry, free, without signup and without ads. The four pillars, day master, ten gods and luck pillars, the Zi Wei palaces and the Western natal chart are all calculated in the browser, and the rules are on the methodology page so you can compare pillars against any other calculator. An AI reading is optional at US$3.99 for 10 credits; it is generated by AI, labeled as such, and intended for reflection and entertainment, not advice.

FAQ
Which Chinese astrology app is the most accurate? The chart calculations are deterministic, so any correct calculator produces the same pillars and palaces. No app’s interpretation can be verified for accuracy, including FateChart’s.

What is the cheapest way to get a BaZi reading? Among the four, FateChart’s US$3.99 for 10 credits is the lowest published entry price; Cece’s ¥9.9 first-month VIP is comparable if you read Simplified Chinese. Prices are as of 2026-09-11 and may change.
Do I need an account to see my chart? Cece and Click108 show a basic chart without one but need an account to save it; FateTell requires an account; FateChart does not.
